Down to Business

David Goldstein is a veteran to the Promotional Products Industry with over 25 years of
experience, including the founding of Boomerang Marketing in 2006.  On a daily basis, David
fulfils clients’ needs for cutting-edge products, quality goods and unparalleled service.  Serving
such clients as Ontario Lottery & Gaming, General Mills, CIBC and Motorola to name a few,
David firmly believes that ‘at the end of the day, we’re only as good as our suppliers and supply
chain.’  Because of this, David will stop at nothing to get the job done.  His demonstration of
resourcefulness in sourcing the perfect product to suit a client’s needs and his insistence on
going above and beyond the call of duty to meet any deadline is somewhat legendary – one
client recalls David driving six hours from Toronto to Montreal to hand deliver a shipment that
wouldn’t have made it via courier in time.  It’s this dedication that keep clients feeling well taken care of with David and Boomerang.

From the client:

“The drive and determination David employs at work is evident in his hobbies and family life as well. An active ‘Hockey Dad’, David has coached both of his sons' Rep hockey teams and also participates in a variety of athletic activities at a competitive level. His intense love of travel and sports have merged together in the past few years with his participation representing Canada Fastball at the Pan-Am Maccabi Games in Argentina (2007 – Gold medal), Israel (2009 – Silver medal and 2013 – Gold medal) and 2011 winter games in Brazil. His newest hobbies, running and biking, enabled him to participate in 5 Half Marathons, a Triathlon and most recently competed and finished his first Full Marathon – New York City 2016.

The Fun Stuff

On David’s playlist: I’m constantly putting new music on my iPod.  As long as it’s got a good, energetic beat to keep me company on my runs or bike rides, I’m happy.

Out of the office:  With my sons hockey careers coming to an end I find myself more involved in running and cycling.  In the warmer months, if I’m not playing baseball, biking or running, you’ll find me at the cottage relaxing by the lake.

Lights out: My favourite bedtime story has to be ‘The Little Engine That Could’.  Who doesn’t love an underdog?

Liquid courage:  Vodka on the rocks.

Bucket List: I’m proud to say I’m slowly making my way through it!  Representing my country has been a lifelong dream and it came true at the Maccabi Pan-Am Games in Argentina in 2007 – hitting the home run that won the gold medal in the final game against the US is something I’ll never forget.  Just when I thought I couldn’t top 2007, in Israel in 2013 I hit a Grand Slam walk-off home run in the bottom of the 7th inning to beat the US 7-6 to win the Gold medal for Canada. I will also always remember the intense pride felt as I walked into a stadium filled with 55,000 people sporting my Team Canada uniform in 2009, 2013 and 2017 at the Maccabi Games in Israel. My greatest individual accomplishment was achieved just recently when I competed in and finished the New York City Marathon – my first full marathon. This truly was a dream come true!
